Memorial Day is dedicated to the men and women of all services, 
who gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend this nation, 
that we may be free.  Observed the last Monday of May.

One such soldier remembered on this day is MAJ Charles "Robbie" Soltes of Irvine CA,  I am honored to have known him. I will also remember the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice of the Iraqi Assistance Group,1st Infantry Division, the 1st Cavalry Division and the 4th Infantry Division.  I was privilaged to know many of them during my  service there with the Iraqi Assistance Grup in Baghdad Iraq  2006 and 2007 .  On this day I also remember the brave Iraqi interpreters who were killed serving their country.
